Save Up to $7,500 on a Heat Pump: AeroFusion's 2026 Rebate Offer

If you have been holding off on a heat pump while you sort out the rebates, this is the post to read first. The programs changed significantly in late 2025, and a lot of older information online is now out of date. Here is what is actually available to Ontario homeowners in 2026, how AeroFusion’s “up to $7,500” offer fits, and how we help you claim it. First, What Changed

The big shift: the federal Canada Greener Homes Grant has closed to new applications. December 31, 2025 was the last day to submit documents, and while requests filed by that deadline are still being processed, new applicants can no longer use it. The related Canada Greener Homes Loan portal also closed to new applications back on October 2, 2025 because its funding was fully committed.

So if you see a blog or ad still pointing you to “up to $5,000 from Canada Greener Homes” for a brand-new project, it is outdated. The good news is that Ontario has its own active pathway.

The Live Pathway: Home Renovation Savings Program

Ontario’s current channel is the Home Renovation Savings Program, delivered by Enbridge Gas and Save on Energy (IESO) with support from the Government of Ontario. Heat pumps qualify for up to $12,000 under this program.

Rebate amounts are tiered by what you heat with today:

• Gas-heated homes: about $500 per ton of heat pump capacity
• Non-gas homes (electric, oil, propane, or wood): about $1,250 per ton

Homes off the natural gas network get the more generous tier — good news for rural and older properties. (The legacy Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus, or HER+, program has also wound down, with its final deadlines in late 2025; the Home Renovation Savings Program is its successor.)

If You Heat With Oil: Up to $25,000

There is an even more generous option for oil-heated homes. The Oil to Heat Pump Affordability (OHPA) program offers eligible homeowners federal funding to switch off oil, and as of September 2025 it is co-delivered in Ontario by the IESO — bringing total available support up to $25,000 for eligible Ontario households. Eligibility is income-tested and requires proof you actually heat with oil. We cover this in full in our OHPA guide for oil-heated homes.

• You own a home in Ontario
• You are replacing an existing heating system

• You apply while program funding is available
